TUBE Live Around Special 2025 in Hawaii

June 1 @ 6:30 pm HST

Japan-based “summer” band TUBE, who famously appeared at Aloha Stadium to celebrate their 15th anniversary in 2000, returns to Honolulu on Sunday, June 1st for their “Live Around Special 2025” at the Tom Moffatt Waikiki Shell.

Known as “the Beach Boys” of Japan, TUBE became the first Asian group to bring both its music and its audience to Hawaii! Over 15,000 fans – 10,000 of which flew from Japan expressly for the concert – were treated to an evening of spectacular music, cutting-edge magic and lighting effects, a helicopter fly-over, and cascades of water.

The upcoming 2025 appearance marks the band’s 40th anniversary, bringing lead vocalist Nobuteru Maeda, guitarist Michiya Haruhata, bassist Hideyuki Kakuno, and drummer Ryoji Matsumoto, back to a place they hold dear to their hearts. They look forward to performing once again in Honolulu in the intimate setting of the Shell.

TUBE formed in 1985, championing a surf-rock sound unlike any other artists of the time. Radio-friendly, upbeat and energetic J-Pop and soft rock hits fueled TUBE’s dominance in both their native Japan and beyond. To this day, their “Live Around Special” concert tours remain among the most anticipated each year.

General Admission tickets, priced at $50.00, go on sale this Saturday, March 15, at 3:00pm Hawaii time. A very limited number of reserved seats, priced at $70 and $60, will also be available. Purchasers can visit the Blaisdell Box Office or Ticketmaster.com.

For more information in both Japanese and English, fans can tune in to KZOO Radio – AM1210, Spectrum Digital 888, or via the KZOO Radio App for Android or iPhone.
